Forest School is a child-centered inspirational learning process that offers opportunities for holistic development through regular sessions, typically outdoors, in a natural environment. Forest Schools are suitable for all age groups from early years (2+) through to adults. The approach is adapted to meet the developmental needs of each group, with activities and challenges tailored appropriately.

Qualified Forest Schools are led by practitioners with a minimum Level 3 Forest School qualification. Look for providers with the FSA (Forest School Association) badge or other recognized accreditations on their listing. Our directory clearly indicates qualification levels.

Children should wear weather-appropriate clothing following the principle that 'there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.' This typically includes waterproof outerwear, sturdy boots, layers for warmth in winter, and sun protection in summer.
